In order to facilitate the relevant personnel in the rail transit industry correctly understand and implement IEC 60310:2016 Railway application—Traction transformer and inductor on board rolling stock, the standard was explained from the aspect of auxiliary transformer and compared with IEC 60310:2004. The differences and irrationalities were analyzed, and some suggestions were also provided for reference by transformer and inductor researchers and test professionals in the locomotive traction industry.
