Aiming at the problem of reusing the main circuit of traction converter in battery traction mode of energy storage multi-current locomotive, which may lead to the voltage of battery to ground exceeding the rated insulation voltage and cause battery damage, the structure and control principle of the main circuit were introduced in detail, the voltage of battery to ground was analysised emphasisly, and the relationship of battery to ground voltage and middle DC voltage after boosting was obtained. Through MATLAB / Simulink, the simulation results were consistent with the analysis and calculation results.
