In order to ensure the traffic safety between subway line adjacent stations, a blocking method based on network communication was proposed. The information transformed between the adjacent interlocking stations of the line and blocking principle was introduced. The solution to realize the fail-safe blocking by setting the time stamp, serial number, check code and other safety technologies was analyzed in detail. Redundant network to increase the system reliability was designed. The problem that the unexpected route was not unlocked by delay was solved. The practical application of the signaling system of Changsha metro line 4 show that the network blocking technology was practical and effective in different operation scenarios.
