Batu ZHANG. A Study on Electric Brake Power Control Method for Hybrid Trams[J]. Electric Drive for Locomotives, 2019,(6):103-105. DOI: 10.13890/j.issn.1000-128x.2019.06.024.
An electric brake power control method for hybrid trams was introduced, which solved the problem that the energy storage system could not fully absorb the electric braking power. Under the premise of ensuring the deceleration of tram electric brake, through the IGBT chopper circuit connected in series with the braking resistor, the power consumed in the braking resistor was adjusted in real time and the electric braking power was fed back to on-board energy storage system to the maximum extent, while not exceeding the power limit of energy storage system, protecting the energy storage system, improving energy utilization efficiency and increasing trams cruising range. At the same time, the problem was solved that when the unidirectional power supply system (such as hydrogen fuel cell system, the internal combustion engine power generation system, etc.) and on-board energy storage device were in hybrid power supply, output power response rate failed to meet the demand of the traction system for power response rate. This scheme has been verified on hydrogen energy low floor trams and achieved good control results.
