A new scheme of straddling monorail train was proposed based on the coupling bogie of straddling monorail vehicle.Coupled bogies were used at the adjacent car bodies and single-axle bogies with bolsters were used at the end of train. This new straddling monorail train not only realized the low floor structure of the car body, but also improved the curve passing performance.The simulation results showed that the end bogie and the coupled bogie could be in the radial position on the circular curve,eliminating the sideslip force and the return torque of the running wheel, and reducing the radial force of the guide wheel.
