Abstract
The research of 4 500 V IGBT driver was introduced in detail, which was a new kind of intelligent driver of IGBT based on FPGA. The principle of active short current protection, passive short current protection, di/dt short current protection, under-voltage detection and protection, and control of IGBT driver turn on and turn off were analyzed and introduced, as well as the intelligent driver fault management system. By comparing it to a traditional driver, the advantages of intelligent driver in IGBT protection and drive control strategy were illustrated.
