Taking the frame of DGMC-16 rail grinding wagon as studying object, the finite element method was adopted to calculate the longitudinal loads, judge the weak locations of frame for local optimization, and calculate the strength under different operation condition and modal characteristics of the vertical static-load for the optimized frame. The results showed that the optimized frame met the design requirements.
