Temperature rise of the capacitor played the key role for the DC-link capacitor life and using stability, while thetemperature rise depended on the ripple current. The calculation method of ripple current was summarized with theoretical calculation,simulation and test verification, which provided a basis for engineering personnel to choose the DC-link capacitor, design the coolingmethod and calculate the cooling capacity.
