Components and function of locomotive wheel on-line crack detection auto-checking device were introduced. Principle and method of supersonic wave detecting locomotive wheel were described and application of detection device was presented. The crack detection device suited railway locomotive wheel crack detection technology development requirement with the features of high defect-checkout ratio, precise position and credibility.
