Development and structure of the third rail current collector were introduced, and mechanical analysis about the currentcollector and analysis calculation of weak link were presented emphatically. Design procedure of insulating frame, cable and stop catch weredescribed, based on which, manufacture and test were completed. The results showed that the experimental result was good agreement withthe theoretical analysis.
