Theoretical calculation model and verification of installation clearance for traction motor bearings on CRH380B high-speed trains
“Experts have established a theoretical calculation model to address the difficulty in determining the clearance during the installation and measurement of traction motor bearings for high-speed trains. This model calculates the reduction in clearance based on the fitting relationship between adjacent components of the bearing, taking into account the elastic deformation between the rolling elements and the raceway caused by shaft lifting during the measurement process. The elastic deformation amount is calculated based on Hertz contact theory, and the influence of this deformation amount on the installation measurement clearance is studied and analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experiments have shown that the theoretical installation measurement clearance calculated by this model is consistent with the actual results. At the same time, based on the structural parameters of the CRH380B high-speed train traction motor, the reasonable range for measuring the clearance of the motor bearing installation has been determined, providing a quantitative basis for ensuring the quality of the traction motor bearing press fit and a new idea for determining the reasonable range for measuring the clearance of other types of traction motors.”
