Running Stability Analysis of Rubber-tired Tram in Special Condition
Compared with the traditional urban rail transit, the rubber-tired tram has great advantage in the design and operating cost, climbing ability, curve negotiation and operating noise. During the operation, lots of the accidents that the puncture wheel, the failure air spring and the defective shock absorber, would happen in the ice and snow weather. Using the SIMPACK multi-body system dynamics software, the dynamic performance of the rubber-tired tram in special condition was analyzed. The analysis results showed that lowering the operating speeds could meet the running stability of the rubber-tired tram in special condition.
