Embedded software quality greatly influences on the reliability of embedded system, and the defects will cause serious consequences. To reduce development cost and shorten development cycle of embedded software, earlier static test in soft coding stage was proposed, and the test methods and tools were studied and compared. The practical application showed that the static test could find out the typical defects of code quality and security, improving codes clarity and correctness.
