Methods to Enhance the Locomotives Vehicle Ability to Resist Overturning Based on Standard GM/RT 2142
Based on the standard GM/RT 2142, a single variable method was used to research the related parameter how to affect the locomotive vehicle ability to resist overturning. The related parameter had carried on the qualitative and quantitative calculation and analysis. Analysis showed that the suspension mode of motor had less effects on locomotive vehicle ability to resist overturning and axle load, the lateral area of the body and vehicle height H had a certain impact on intrinsic roll-over wind speed, and changing railway vehicle roof profile was the most effective way to enhance the resistance of locomotives.
