Comparison and Research on Fatigue Strength Analysiswith Different FE Modeling Methods
In order to improve the efficiency of engineering structural strength analysis, two types of model that solid element modeland solid-shell element model were created based on ANSYS and HyperMesh software. The comparison of these two modeling methodswas done on some aspects such as modeling time, period of analysis and accuracy of fatigue strength analysis. The accuracy of solidshellelement model was improved by introducing RBE2 rigid element at the interface of solid and shell elements. This research showedthat, solid-shell element modeling method was far better than solid element modeling method in terms of workload, period of analysis andscale of FE model. The accuracy relative error of fatigue strength with some measures of solid-shell element interface could be controlledwithin 10%, therefore, this method has a good reference to improve the efficiency of strength analysis in actual project.
